K & D Holsters Custom IWB Defender(pics)

I also posted this over at the KTOG.org forums, but thought that there may be some here interested also. I hope so.

I am really not much of a review writer, but I just have to say a few words about this new holster. I put in an order for a holster from K & D Holsters back in 9/05/06 and received it today. Patience is not one of my strong points so this was one long wait. Well, it was worth the wait. I emailed back and forth with Kevin, trying to decide what I wanted to order for sure. He knew better than I did what I really needed. I ended up with one of his Custom IWB Defenders. IMHO Kevin needs to change the picture of this holster on his web site because the holster I received looks worlds better than the picture.
The holster fit my P3AT like it was made for it, well I guess it was. This is the first custom holster I have ordered. It won’t be the last! I like the way there is a double amount of leather around the top of the holster which keeps it open when the weapon is drawn and makes reholstering a lot easier. I was concerned about a single clip fastening the holster to my belt. Kevin assured that it would be alright and it is. Many will wonder why I ordered a IWB for the P3AT. I also have the K-Rat for pocket carry and it works well. I usually just prefer IWB and the P3AT is like hardly even there. I hardly notice it at all. The workmanship is awesome and it is pretty easy to tell that Kevin is proud of his work and loves what he is doing.
If anyone is on the fence about ordering from Kevin (K & D Holsters), my advice is just do it. It is definitely worth the wait and you will not be sorry!! I cannot imagine a better, or nicer holster made by anyone!! I really mean that.
Thanks Kevin!!
I will leave you with a few pics.

Ron
