Mr. Hill,
Thank you for the kind words about my rifle, which has been dubbed on several forums as the Redneck Tactical 336. The stocks are Ramline synthetics. I really like them. They are lighter, and the the forend is thinner than the stock wood. The only issues with them is that they will allow the heat of the barrel to transfer through them when doing a good bit of sustained fire.
I'd like to take on the Spikehorn models and play with it a bit. An 1894 in .357/.38 to match my S&W 13 would be a nice combination as well. There is some .357mag ammo that will match .30-30 out to 50 yards.
I know the 336 isn't a replacement for a AR or anything, but it should be able to handle any mess I could get myself into, hopefully.
