I like the adjustable stock for these reasons: (* indicates reasons that probably don't matter)
*1. I can shorten it if I'm wearing body armor or heavy clothing.
2. Takes up less space
3. Easier to carry
4. My shorter friends and family can use it
*5. If I have the attached grenade launcher, I can fire it with my dominant hand with the rifle shouldered. (With a fixed stock it's either non-dominant hand or buttstock in the underarm)

I dislike it for these reasons:
*1. I'm taught when going to a prone position: plant the buttstock, roll to non-firing hip, assume firing position. I have a completely irrational fear that on step 1, something may break causing the weapon to collapse on my firing hand. That would be bad juju.
This fear is irrational because I've never seen it or heard of it happening, probably best to ignore this reason.
2. If I ever need to smack somebody with it, I'd prefer the solid stock.
*3. No storage.
