I like the idea about a sticky or FAQ section addressing this.

While 99.99999999999% of us think that a badge is a bad idea, it's a valid question to ask.

Several years ago when I bought my first pistol, I heard some guys in a discussion about whether badges could keep you from getting shot.

I then asked this same question on a different forum back then and got my head handed to me. The concensus seemed to be that if you asked the question, you were a moron.

A brief discussion about it is all it takes for most people to realize that it is a bad idea.

I think its good to discuss this question from time to time for the newbies.

A sticky could make the info readily available without subjecting us to repeated badge discussions.

Besides, Thumper, I don't need no stinkin' popcorn!!! I'm fat enough as it is.
