I think this thread is a good idea.

While I won't post this as a review of a specific vendor, I will offer it as my 2 cents to all vendors.

I ordered a custom holster, was given a long time frame, by my standards, 2 months. Was very new to this, so was not aware of the lead times that most of you have experienced.

As I checked around some, found there were much longer times, and this vendor had a great rep on this forum. So I ordered one.

My problem came when I started looking for the holster when the time frame came. "It will go out this week/next week/Monday/etc."
Called every couple of weeks, and what I got was some variation of the above.

Finally received it, much later. I was very pleased with the quality of the product. Unfortunately, still had 2 more items on order.

Same process starts again, but goes on longer. To the point I finally gave up.

My point is not so much the delays, but the expectation. I fully understand things happen to create delays. But when it becomes the norm, you have to find a way to give your customer a more reasonable expectation. My own experiences have put me in the shoes of both the customer and the vendor, and I think most people will go a long way to cut you some slack, if they think they are getting the straight story.

I know I'm not alone in my experience with this vendor. Had I been told a time frame that matched with both what I had experienced, and what I saw and heard that others were experiencing, I believe I would have not been so frustrated and have given up.

My 2 cents.
