I found a OWB high ride 1911 holster I'm thinking about buying. It's made by Mernickle Holsters (
www.mernicklholsters.com). The item # is PS6.
The guys at Gunblast did a review on this holster and were very impressed. The holster has a large welt of leather sewn to the bottom of the rig to keep the gun from falling out away from the body. It evidently carries the 1911 quite high and tight to the body.
It looks interesting to me. I love my 1911 but have yet to find a way to carry it comfortably. I'm hoping this may be a good solution.
