I vote full leather anyways - just because it always seems best.
But hey - re SS and finish, marring etc ... I really wouldn't worry about that in either method. I'd expect some brighter spots from contact with Kydex over time but my approach is anyways - the gun is for carry - it will (mine does) show some marking but it goes with the territory so to speak.
One thing - we can do a ''job'' on an SS finish if need be and bring it back to a pretty nice result if so inclined - way less problems than blued anyways!
