Excellent point and I have a tip for people with that problem.
I got a C Tac thinking I was getting an M Tac. My 1911 was really tough on my skin. (I hate to wear undershirts." The hammer and spur really hurt after a while. The company provided great service and I hated to sent it back. So I went to a friend who owns a shoe repair shop. He glued a small soft piece of leather and it works great. It covers the "hurting parts." The piece he glued on is too big, (deliberately) and as soon as I have more experience with it I will probably trim it a bit.
