I wouldn't say too far off. Grossman (IMO) has some valid points, as does DeBecker, discussed elsewhere. However. He's heavy on the psychobabble and his basic premise regarding the human reservation against killing is incorrect. He is also anti-RKBA.
I guess my basic problem is that he strikes me as a polemist, more in love with his pet theory than practical application(ie, putting the theory to the test.) As Freud said,"Sometimes a cigar
is just a cigar..." and there is no problem smoking it.
