Ummm... OK.
We were talking about Katrina here, which was obviously a localized, temporary situation. Even the scenarios you described don't indicate a concerted effort by the federal government to permanently disarm the people. If it were a national incident, with nationwide confiscation, you might have an argument. If it were regionalized, then it would in all likelihood be temporary (because the rest of us would raise holy hell, like we did during Katrina). And note that I never said I would disarm, I said I wouldn't kill cops over temporary gun grabs...and I also mentioned something about a back up plan...
