Wasn't there video of an old woman getting slammed to the ground in her own kitchen for showing cops an unloaded revolver because she didn't give it up right away?
Anyway you put it, its a bad situation. MI has a thinly veiled gun registration in the form of a safety inspection card, not sure if that would be used to know who has what in a gun grab. If I had ANY warning that this was happening, I would hide everything. Cops come knocking, they can look all they want. I could have left them all at my parents' house out of state last time I took the kids home for all they know. If I was caught off guard, the guns would be going out in locked cases if I had any say.
I definately would not be putting my family at risk by resisting or starting some firefight. Like others have said, you will eventually lose. Better to sort it out later with a lawyer. If I'm dead I can't tell my side of the story.
