I have only tried the Crossbreed, and love it by the way, but I think I know the differences between it and the MTAC. One, I've read that the MTAC has an added layer of leather, the smooth side of which goes against your body and the rough side covers the mounting screws preventing any contact at all with the body.
Probably the most advantageous difference is that the Kydex shells on the MTAC are interchangeable. You only need to buy one whole rig, and from then on you can just order the shells separately for other guns you have, or ones you acquire in the future.
That second one might've made a difference to me if I'd known about it when I bought the Crossbreed, but ces' la vie, I'm very happy with what I have and don't regret the purchase in the least.
I don't recall off the top of my head what the difference in price is between them, but I think it was around $20. Regardless if my memory serves me well or not though, the extra $$ for the MTAC does actually buy you added/different features. It's not just one maker charging more for nearly the exact same thing.
