I recently started carrying a 642 in a Galco pocket holster. The holster is ambi, and it's horsehide, so it's stiff as a board and doesn't have a built-in curve to conform to your leg.
I had mine all of an hour before I was soaking it in hot water and doing some molding of my own. I boned the backside better to the gun, and I formed a curve so everything would blend in better in the pocket. Left the front side unmolded.
Works out great in the Carhartt shorts I'm generally wearing when I'm not at work.
