Thanks for the replies everyone,

Sorry, I just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum. Mods, can you move this over to the holster forum?

Yeah, I realize the MTAC has the leather backing and that I can swap-out kydex bodies for other guns later. That versatility and the fact it is available now are two great things about it. I thought I'd order the Dakota Defender now and buy the MTAC to hold me over until it's done. They're probably both very comfortable since there will be leather between me and the holster. I'm more concerned about long-term, which will put _more_ wear on my pistols, the kydex bodies or leather? It sounds like the leather is the way to go but will the MTAC kydex cause any major wear on my Ultra CDP II (or later on a G29) while I wait on the Dakota Defender? If so, I can get something like a High Noon Split Decision in the meantime instead. Just trying to take care of my babies you know.

BTW, does anyone know anything about the anti-sweat panel that is offered by K&D? Does it take any away from the comfortable suede internal lining? I'm in Florida and will be sweating a lot at times. Most of those times the holster will be up against bare skin and a t-shirt/golf shirt over it.

Thanks again for the input.
