IMO, the SOB holster would be easier to both stop draw from or take the gun from. I have never carried SOB as my dept requires active retention for off-duty holsters and I have never seen a SOB holster with active retention. I do think that the act of drawing from a SOB holster would be more noticeable and slower than from an OWB holster. Plus, drawing from SOB puts your arm in a chicken-wing position for the BG to exploit. Drawing from IWB or OWB at 3 or 4 o'clock allows you to lock your wrist out and fire from the hip. SOB carry doesnt allow that. YMMV
