I've got somewhere around 15,000 rounds through mine with no malfunctions (other than those deliberately induced with dummy rounds).

ain't that the truth...at a class last year I saw 4 high-end production 1911's (one Kimber, one Para P-14, one S&W, and a Springer EMP) go down in the
first day (a couple before lunch)...the 12 Glocks and 2 SIGs in the class worked with boring reliability.
