I use speer gold dot +p as carry ammo and use what ever ammo is on sale for practice. As for holsters I carry only two ways. 1st in a pocket holster and 2nd I carry daily with a holster from
A Better Holster. It does take some time to get use to an undershirt holster but it allows me to carry everywhere while wearing a shirt and tie.
