Not knowing exactly what is being meant by training I will have to answer this way.

When I was 14 I went to an International BB Gun competition which required shooting session a couple of times a week for several months in preparation for that. Got out of HS and went into the Army. Did my stay there and other than the Texas CHL class, everything else has been on my own. Been shooting, and hunting, and teaching others from kids to adults how to shoot ever since I was 14. The first 15 years of my shooting focused on rifles mostly, and the last 10 or so has been mostly pistols. Rifles at the ranges I am able to shoot at around here just aren't challenging, but pistols definately are.

Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
