Heh, this is strange indeed. I've shot .22's from the companies you mention (excluding minimags but with a handful of other manufacturers) using a dozen rifles and three pistols. I would consider one of the pistols and at least three of the rifles very reliable. In all situations, I had fairly regular misfires. On the cheapo rifles, it was often the firing pin -- all you have to do is lift the bolt (not opening it, just lifting), close it again, pull the trigger again. But outside of those, it was the ammo... Maybe you have magic fingers or something

I have not shot the Eley Match, or, I suppose, any match grade ammo. So I suppose I can't speak for all .22 ammo.
