I have 2 Kimber Pros, a Pro Carry with the aluminum frame and a TLE with the steel frame. Both have been good guns, with minor issues. Both guns had an issue with FTRTB, so after some research I discovered that Kimber uses an underpowered recoil spring (22lbs I think) and I replaced it with the Wolf XP spring specifically made for the 4" bbls (24lbs). No more return to battery failures. My TLE had an extractor issue that sent brass into my face and marred the slide a bit, but that got sent back to Kimber and was fixed at no charge to me.
I have not had any other issues in 2500(pro aluminum frm)-1200 (TLE) rounds . I use Wilson 47D mags, and both get a steady diet of 230gr ball or 230gr Federal Hydrashocks. I haven't tried anything lighter. I've been pretty happy with the performance and I have used both hard in classes where I have shot 600 rounds in a single day without any tinkering or additional lubing.
