Just so as you know you are not alone. I too have had a sudden unexpected sound/movement cause me to instinctively chance both my stance and draw a weapon. Turned out to be an animal (not mine but a wild one) that didn't belong there. I am typically very low key and not prone to overreacting to anything. Just sometimes your bells and whistles go off and your body reacts. the trick is not to instinctively shoot someone of something. By the way just cause you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you. :)
