I'm from the Detroit Area also...
It all depends on weather, area, mode of my dress and my current tolerence level for the well meaning but uneducated. Like Longrider, I don't automatically buy into the "get shot first" or "get gun taken" crowd. I've looked and looked and found no instance of either happening to an armed, OCing civilian. Sure, happens to LEO's. Had it happen to me a few times(gun grabbing) when I was an LEO, but I can't find anywhere that it has happened to a civilian. That said, I do feel that concealed has definate social advantages and we gun toter's do need to be aware of that as a community.
