My Glock 23 is concealed from just behind the trigger guard to the tip of the barrel by the Blackhawk CQC thumbbreak pancake holster openly displayed on my right hip. If the sight of my weapon prevents a confrontation, this is to my tactical advantage. If I am attacked from ambush without an opportunity for the BG to see my weapon, as stated in a previous post, then neither the 'surprise' of CC or the deterrent of OC is an advantage. I can deal with the threat more quickly from OC.
I would hate to have to shoot someone who attacked thinking me an easy mark when just the knowledge I am armed could save their life by encouraging them to move on down the line.
