We taped all week at the USSA facility (great, btw!) covering a lot of material, both fundamental and more advanced. Both Janich and I worked with USSA Instructors including Phil Strader and Mike Seeklander (Both Great, Btw!).
Obviously, I am a bit partial, but I think this show will set a new standard for self-defense oriented television. Although the production values, graphics and editing will all be top notch and engaging, one thing that will set us apart is the emphasis on why, not just what. Too many shooting shows, including the Weaponology segments I did last year, end up edited to look good and move fast at the cost of information. With TBD, I think there will be less of the 1-3 minute "tips" simply demonstrating a technique and more 4-6 minute segments explaining why we recommend certain things over others and giving examples of training drills/methods for you to use at home. Of course, I expect it will still look great and be entertaining!
The next taping session will be at the end of the month at a new venue.....
