Over 1/2 the time it is becasue the customer has an extended mag release and did not tell us. We also have lots of folks with an extended mag release who have no problems.
Stock CW9. Wore it in multiple positions, same issue regardless of position (even tried it cross-draw).

I'm sorry you did experience this, but it sounds as if you took care of it yourself without contacting us before hand.
To assume it is automatically a "common problem" is a bit hasty in your judgement.
Thanks and no need to apologize, I have no beef with your or your company, you make a fine product. I did have a problem, but it is manifestly evident that it is a problem with the mating of the holster as sold and the gun as mass produced.

We send well over 1000 holsters a month out the door and hear about a mag release issue maybe once or twice a month or less.
If you want to approach this the same way cities approach putting traffic lights in (waiting for enough accidents to justify it) then that's your call.

You make what is easily one of the best holsters to come along in a long time, and it works fantastically for the overwhelming majority of your customers. The true measure of a business is how they treat their customers when there are problems, and more importantly, what they do to keep those problems from happening in the future. I hope you'll take my experience as an example of how you can improve your customer experience, rather than stay on the defensive.

ETA:

Here I even found a couple photos to attach. I took these before I made the cuts to the holster because I thought this might come up some day.

Photo 1 shows that even when the holster is not worn the mag release is in contact with the leather.

Photo 2 shows the right side of the mag release after it's been activated with pressure from my left thumb.
