For most of us, a holster that's properly designed and constructed for your specific weapon has no need for additional retention devices.
An argument for an exception can be made for LEO's/security professionals that could be expected to routinely end up rolling around on the ground struggling with a suspect.......most of us don't have that kind of concern however.
