Looking for a book about a game warden in the early 1900's

This particular book is out of print, and it was about the adventures of a game warden in the '20's and '30's in either west virginia or kentucky. I can't remember the name. It was either ole' slewfoot or sometime like that.
Can anyone help me ? If you have a copy of this book, what is the possibility of loaning it out ? I would love to read it....

I suggest trying a Google search using your key words. Book, game warden, W. Virginia, and etc.
