Books on Second Amendment history etc

Could anyone recommend THE best or two or three of the best books on the Second Amendment that go into the history of it and all the court rulings etc? I looked for such a previous thread but could not find any, and did not want to bring it up now if it has already been discussed many times.....

Check out these two by Stephen Halbrook:
  • Supreme Court Gun Cases: Two Centuries of Gun Rights Revealed. It contains text and interpretation from every gun-related case in the history of this country, up to just the last few years.
  • That Every Man Be Armed: The Evolution of a Constitutional Right. It analyzes the 2A, where it came from, the debates in the original Congress, and it seeks to make sense of it all. This book blasts many myths out of the water.

Those are perfect.
In my line of work I deal with gun cases but unfortunately the defendant NEVER has a license to carry. And it is 18 months mandatory jail sentence, no parole, no good time.
It used to be a year but went up relatively recently. But the folks I deal with never have a firearms permit.
Those books are precisely what I was looking for. Thank you.

Take a look at "The Second Amendment Primer" from Palladium Press. It's available at the NRA Store and is an outstanding reference.

Thank you also. Will take a look. As I said, I deal with gun cases but not with the Second Amendment, ever.
