Smith & Wesson 1911sc. Perfect CCW for me. I can hide it easily and reach it more easily. Thin (for my girlish hands), and lighter than I would have thought. It is capable of better accuracy than I am capable of getting it to produce. Reliable, too, right out of the box.

And it's a .45.

Loaded with 230-grain JHP's, 8 of 'em. A BG can try to kill or harm me or a member of my family, and he might succeed.

But it isn't going to be a walk-over kind of thing for him.

Thanks to an agency policy change, I now carry my SIGARMS P229 .40 S&W off-duty as well.

I'll update ya'll on my new carry - a Glock 26 (just got it). The wife has one too - I love shooting them.

A Thunder Ranch 45 and a Rohrbaugh R9s are my everyday carry with a a Benchmade knife, and a Surefire light. Although I have been known to carry other items for special assignments. We use a pistol to get to a bigger gun.

CZ P-01. A 9 mm gem. Usually I carry in a Galco Concealable or DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. A Surefire E2D and Benchmade 710 round out the Big Three.
