I carry a Springfield XD9SC in a Don Hume PCCH IWB holster.
Sold the above...now I carry a S&W 642 revolver with Gold Dot 135g +P in an Uncle Mikes pocket holster. Last edited by zxd9; August 4th, 2006 at 02:58 PM. |

I just recently started getting into handguns. I've shot rifles all my life and only recently shot a handgun. I just got a walther p22. I know I know why even bother to carry at all but i guess its better than nothing, right?

the Walther p22 is a very good handgun, it makes a nice little carry peice. I bought one for my daughter and she loves it. years ago when I started carring, a wize old man told me "it's better to have a .22 in your pocket, then a .357 mag on your night stand."
His concept behind this was, it's better to have a small gun that you can carry, then a big gun that is too big to carry, and will just sit on your night stand. |

For casual clothes it's Glock 27 or sometimes a Glock 17, IWB. For more formal wear it's a PPK (summer) or Kahr MK9, and for pocket carry as a BUG a NAA .32.

What I Carry
I usually carry a Glock 23C but I have a hard time concealing it in this hot Texas weather. I hate wearing a vest or a grandpa fanny pack. I'm thinking of going to a Taurus 617SS and IWB carry. IWB carry with a Glock makes me nervous.
