P6 sights - Meprolights?

Thinking of putting a set of Meprolights on my old SIG P6/P225. Anybody use these? Comments?

Also it seems I have a 8 rear with a 7 front. All I am finding are 8 rears with either a 6 or 8 front. Will any of these combos work, which would be best?

I have found the Meps to be a little on the soft side. Drops and other varieties of abuse result in the sights "winking out". The Trijicons are made of a harder metal and hold up better. I think that Trijicon may also make the size that you are looking for. Give them a call and check. Their customer service folks are easy to deal with and have always been very helpful to me.

Before you drop the money on the meprolights take a look at the Sigarms web site. They have a package deal in the customer service area called the Sig Service Plan. I don't recall the price off the top of my head but part of the package is they install new factory night sights! When I first looked at it like six months ago is was something like $125 plus shipping.
