I have a couple of the mini 22's also. One is the black widow model w/2" barrel and custom grips. I wear it every day. Call it my boot gun.

They must be okay little guns, you don't see many used ones floating around.

Do you guys actually find the shotshells useful out of a barrel that short? I would think outside of a few feet they would be useless and not very useful within a few feet.
The bird shot is excellent at killing snakes. My dad carried one on him with birdshot and killed many water moccasins, with it. I carry the mini mag in mine. Love the little NAA 22 LR when nothing else will conceal.

I used to have a Black Widow, but sold it. I think they are cool little guns and decently made. I just wouldn't be comfortable trying to hit anything further than 5 ft. away with one. They are super easy to conceal, though. I like the models that you wear on a belt buckle

Shot shell is usefull

I had a pesky red squirrel in my cabin - He wouldn't fall prey to mt rapp attempts.

Finally, as a last resort, I wore heavy jacket, heavy hat, goggles, face mask and entered my cabin with 22 mag shot shells ready (not sure if they would bounce back at me so I geared up real heavy). He jumped out from behind my upper loft wall and headed straight for me (the open door) - He stopped brielfy on a rafter, and I let a round go at ~ 10 feet - Fell to floor dead. Works great!

Hmmm. I'll have to give the shotshells a try. I'm not doubting anyone but I'd think you would have to be dang close to be effective (maybe too close with a snake). I also had a Black Widow before but sold it. Another nice little revolver it was. Somebody offered me more than I paid for it and since I never really used/carried it, it was gone.

There's something about the coolness factor of the little NAA revolvers that keeps me coming back. I bought some rosewood grips for my PUG and if I don't sell it, I'm going to polish it (Mother's) to a nice shine and put on the grips. The PUG is very easily concealed. Even though I got a great deal on it ($265ish), I think for the $$ the regular mini mag revolvers are the best deal.

I have two Copperheads to my credit with a NAA. I do not get too close! I really hate snakes.
