Thumbs up Springfield 1911s

I keep noticing Springfield 1911s creeping into the mix here as guns people don't regret getting rid of...If you believe everything you read in the gun rags, Springfields are without flaw. I'm so glad I signed on to this website so that I can hear from REAL people who carry REAL guns everyday.

I'm really surprised about the Armalite rifle...Mark's a nut about customer service. Do you still have the repair tag?

I had a Ruger Mini-14, 25 years ago and it never shot very well. Traded it and purchased a Colt SP-1 that usually never grouped better then about 4 inches at 100 yards. At least it was better then my Mini-14. I also had a Ruger heavy barrel .308. Tried every thing I could think of too make it shoot better. No such luck. I wish I had have kept the 264 Winchster Model 70 that I traded for it. Sure was a lot more accurate. OH well that's life.

Wow! Those were the two that my husband and I were looking at for my first gun! It's a present to me for my 21st birthday and I am going to look at the LCP today. We pretty much ruled out the Kel-Tec when we heard that the shop was getting an LCP today! WOO HOO!!!! I can't wait.

Davis Industries P-380...it shot decent enough but it had too short of a grip and everytime I fired, the slide would scrape my thumb knuckle. Ouch!
