535 out the door is an absolutley fair price. They are going for 620 at cabellas before tax and what not. Even on the internet, after you paid FFL, shipping and processing you would have spent more than 535. Good buy.

I have the same firearm, and the 45acp also...they are very nice, and I have never had any problems with them. I even use the 9mm on occassion when teaching ccw and one of the student has a firearm failure....many of bought one.
I am guessing this will replace the ruger on the carry list?

The XD is made in Croatia.......

I've shot the XD .40, didn't much care for it (only thing I liked was the grip angle), but would like to check out the 9mm and the .45 and see how they compare.

They compare pretty well.

The thing about the .40 Short and Weak is the recoil is really weird. I had a .40 Glock. It's the only firearm I've gotten rid of I haven't had a second of regret.
