Funny, I was thinkin' the same thing.

If I may dare to expand upon what OD has said, the 1991A1 is a hybrid of the M1911 and the 1911A1. The M1911 had no rear trigger guard flare reliefs and no high-cut front strap. The 1911A1 had and arched mainspring housing and taller sights, rather than the "bump and hump" of the M1911. The A1 also sported a short trigger. Parking wasn't real popular on the M1911, but standard on the A1.

There are a few other esoteric differences, which I am certain OD will jump me for, but that's it in a nutshell.

Only one point, the 91A1s don't have high-cut front strap though (and they are Series 80s).
