Guns That Fit This Profile

*Chambered for 9mm
*Compact size (no bigger than say an XD subcompact)
*Grip Safety

The only ones I have come up with are the Kimbers that fit this profile, the Springfield EMP and the XD9 subcompact.

Any others I am forgetting?

You're missing the STI LS9, Rogue, Escort, and Off Duty models.

Oh, there's also the Wilson Combat Sentinel Compact.

I own a Hawg 9 and it's a nice little gun. Took me about 300-400 rounds through it though before it started to run nicely, was a pain breaking in.

You guys are right- the STIs are a nice one to consider as is the Para Hawg. Forgot about both of those makers.

The Wilson Combat is, of course, fantastic. I forgot about it twice: before I opened the thread and then after I saw the nearly $2,500 price tag! :)

Not a big fan of the grip safety myself, you're certainly limiting your choices with that spec. You're losing the CZ compacts/PO1, Glock 19/26, SIG 228/229, S&W M&P compact, Kahr's K9/P9 series, and so on. Carried a Glock 19 for almost a decade and haven't needed a grip safety yet. IMHO.

Kimber Aegis 9mm. Para Ordnance Carry 9, or Para PDA 9.

A couple weeks ago, I played around with a Para PDA 9. The ergonomics and grip angle all felt wonderful, though the short (and sharp) backstrap dug into the base of my hand. Otherwise, it was a perfect fit. Easy to manipulate controls (lefty), slide, magazines. Comfortable. Did not shoot it, but it would be on my short list of 9mm pistols of the 1911 style platform.

Just curious, why the grip safety?
