You won't get any smack out of me, I also carry an NAA .22 magnum for those really hot days or when I am out just walking the dog.

MK-40 is a bit heavy for pocket carry. Go PF-9, PM-9, PM-40, PM-45, or Rohrbaugh.

I carry a Walther PPS. Works for me, and is an excellent gun!

+ 1 for the Kahr PM9 , it's great for pocket carry and still packs a punch. Just my 2 cents.

If you decide to do a lot of carrying in your pocket. You need to be aware of pocket lint. Both the Bersa and Kel-Tec have hammers which collects it. It may be possible that it could cause an ill affect on the function of your firearm. If you want a pocket rocket "auto", I would go with the hammerless Kahr PM series.

Desperado, I am with you! For the one in a million chance, that I should ever really NEED to USE a concealed weapon, I honestly believe my Seecamp LWS32 will do just fine.

The 32acp was good enough to start a World War, it was good enough for Hitler to kill himself with, and most importantly, it was good enough for James Bond all those years. (i.e Chicks dig the .32)

Now, in my car sits a different story, Mr Smith and Mr Wesson have some .357 Mags in store for anyone that wants to mess with me on the road.

Likewise, if I were living in Baghdad, I'd probably join the 9mm-is-minimum-club. But I'm not, thank God.

Finally, should someone be interested in messing with my family (or my stuff), I've got some .45acp (XD45) and 00 shot (Remington 870) waiting for those BGs at home.

But for just walking around in my pocket, I'm more than happy with my Seecamp. (My wife carries a lightweight S&W317 in her purse with 8 glorious rounds of .22LR)

I never thought I`d get this kind of response to a post. My Heartfelt "THANKS" to all who have helped me in choosing what to do here. I live in Orlando,Fla which is getting very dangerous with all the car jackings,home invasions,murders everyday etc. As a senior citizen I feel we`ve become "Prey" to a certain element of the community,If you visit here please come armed. My choice is a Smith & Wesson 642 revolver now in my pocket with some very ugly hollowpoints in it. I bought it today,ran 75rnds through it and it went BANG everytime hitting what I aimed at,what more could I ask for?. A lot of the small semi-auto`s have FTE & FTF issues that may resolve themselves in time and usage or adjustment but I just needed to get on the ball now. I wanted this for a hot weather pocket gun as my main carry,S&W 9ve,is kinda hard to cover up without a cover shirt to conceal the butt handle sticking out the side. The 9ve has about 2500rnds through it without a single problem in feeding,ejecting or accuracy but concealment is iffy for a small person. I would trust my life to this weapon though!. I also got a coupla speedloaders too should the need ever arise!. Again, A Great BIG Thank You to ALL!!!!. hal

I have the NAA 380 guardian. It's a bit heavy but goes bang every time. The workmanship is great and can't say enough about it.
I prefer a full sized IWB weapon. Usually my Browning Hp .40 cal.
For deep concealment I take the Guardian. Thats changing as I get use to carrying a full size. I find I can conceal that just as well with the proper holster. Mine is the Mo-Slick IWB by Caldwell Gunleathers.

A great part of CCW is being confident in what you're carrying. It would seem that you are.
The crime here in Kansas City is too much for me also, (I'm an old guy too). I grew up in NDak. where we didn't even bother to lock our doors. Now I have to worry about just walking to the parking lot after having dinner out!!
My primary carry piece is a Kimber Ultra CDP II .45 ACP with two extra Wilson Combat Mags. Summer clothes make that difficult to conceal sometimes, so the ' Mouse Guns' come out.
