Who to use for trigger job?

Hi guys, I'm starting to get some rounds through my Kimber and it will become my EDC in a few months. It was built by Clark Custom Guns with a 2.5# trigger job.
I'm wanting a 4.5# for carry, and a set of Big Dots.
Should I send It back to Clark or should I send it to Kimber?
How good is Kimbers Custom Shop?

I'm fortunate because I have "World Class" Gunsmiths in my neighborhood. :)

I like to always recommend somebody local to you in case you have any problems. If you absolutely must send your gun off, I've heard good things about both Clark's and Kimber. I'd probably go with Clark's as they are a "known" entity and have been 'smithing for a long time.

Unless I'm having a "Once In A Lifetime" Gun built I try not to send my guns to anybody. There is a lot that can be gained by being able to sit with your 'smith over a soda and talking about what you want done.

BTW, good looking gun.

If Clarks did the original work, they are the ones that I'd send it back to for modifications. Good luck.

I have since realized I can do it my self.
A new Clark sear spring on order and all the springs.
You have to hold your own 1911 Shoot it,, break it down, put it back together to understand the spell 1911 can cast.
I'm hooked!
