Don't forget a sound suppressor & threaded barrel.

You're right! Those are on my list, too.

Grady I got a galco skyops holster for my .45 and it is one you might look at but test fit it to make sure its what you want. Im a poor college student so I got the skyops to hold me over till I can afford a better one. Man got to love the expense of college.

I looked the skyops up and have a couple questions that the website picture wouldn't answer.

1) Are the sides of the barrel covered completely? (Mine is 4" barrel.)
2) I'm assuming it's a tuckable?
3) How much coverage does the sweat shield offer, in case I wear it against my bare skin?
4) How well does the belt gizmo hold the holster in place?

I know how extra funds at college can be scarce. And I went decades ago--I'm pretty sure prices have skyrocketted since then.

I see your avatar is Air Force. Were you/are you/will you be in the Air Force?

Yes it covers both sides of the barrel
Yes it is tuckable the y clip was a area that the pants falls into and then the shirt goes between holster and y clip
Have not tested sweat sheild as of yet so Unknown
the Clip holds it pretty good but not the best
The AF is the family business and so I am in ROTC either going intel or Security forces have not been told as of yet.
check out the link for pics of mine

Thanks for the info. Looks like it only takes up as much room as it has to.

Thanks for your family's service, and yours soon to be. So, you don't get the choice of intel or security? Not sure how things are now, but when I was in, intel was briefings and studying info, and security dealt with security police and, well, physical security. Probably more to it than that, though. I almost spent a career in intel, but life events steered a different way.

I joined in the 70's. I'm sure it's a whole different world now.

I seriouslly hope you get intel. I did security forces for four years, and while Germany was a blast, they ended my first enlistment with sending me to Minot, ND after Ramstein.

Work hard and play harder was kind of the motto, but ******, I hope you don't get a Northern Tier assignment.

Ya know, Grady brings up a good point and that is, to keep buying firearms related items in preparation of any sudden ban that may happen in the near future.

I am stocking up like a madman on ammo.

We'll, the dream sheet is exactly that. When I left tech school I had all state side bases in the SE region on mine, and they sent me to Germany, haha. Was funny because everyone else in my flight wanted to go overseas but were sent around the states. Like 3 of us went to Germany.

Good luck on getting the assignment you want.
