gorgeous! hope it shoots like a charm. I've had my 4.25" Para CCW for a couple months now (a bit different i know, LDA vs. SA) , and i've never had any failure of any sort after about 400 rounds... looking forward to the range report.

J-Man... I'm surprised the pictures aren't more crisp! You'll have to work on that!

I got to hold it today when he brought it by the station. Very sweet gun. Nice crisp trigger break with no discernible creep!

We were already talking about modifications on it.

Congrats man... you got a winner there!

When do I get to shoot it? You were the second person to get to shoot my XD!

Nice pistola, welcome to the 1911 club, this will not be your 'last gun'.

Stay armed...get a 1911...stay safe!

Sweet gun, congratulations. I had the chance to shoot a Para LDA at the range once and was very pleasantly surprised at how smooth the trigger was. That's my only firsthand experience with Paras, though I almost bought a P13-45 instead of my SA Mil-Spec.

One word of caution, if that front sight is fiber optic be extra careful not to expose it to solvents. Plexi products tend to break down and crack when they come in contact with gun solvents, lots of folks with Tru-glo TFO sights have found this out the hard way. I've got them on my Glock 19 and haven't had any problems but I'm very careful when cleaning the slide.

As far as 1911s multiplying: I just put another one on layaway yesterday, a Colt Commander this time. That'll make three in my current collection and my seventh or eighth overall - I've sort of lost count over the years. Yes, I'm a Disciple of the Cult of JMB from way back.

Congrats! You will find the 1911 to be an addiction, one for which there is no known cure. The only thing you can do is feed the addiction, which will only make it grow more!
