BOUGHT a Kel-Tec P3AT
I just acquired a KelTec P3At friday afternoon.I have not fired it yet (dang busy weekends) but i will prolly at least shoot a clip thru it tonite.
I was out looking for a pocket gun. Initially I looked at NAA's and I really liked an old school derringer but for "real world" stuff I came to the conclusion after handling the lil KelTec that it was a "wiser" choice. I am finding myself that I still want an old school derringer but I am okay with the KelTec purchase. It is a .380 caliber so yes a but under a 9 but I figure a .380 in Hydrashock is gonna be reasonably effective...plus I believe its a 6+1 mag setup so thats not bad. I fired my dads 9mm KelTec a few years ago and absolutley hated it!! The trigger pull was way too long for my taste but this version seems to have shortened that a bit. The package is narrow and very small. I could see making/acquiring a pocket holster for carrying it like a wallet. My jeans are a lil "snug" for front pocket carry...I can get it in there but removal in a timely fashion isn't realistic. What I think would be real nice for this gun is a "deep cover" IWB setup...as it would pretty much disappear. No cover garment required at all. I guess I will begin investigating holsters now. What do others carry this gun in?

I carry mine two ways: with a cheapo uncle mikes holster, At first it seems too small, but one you force the gun in there ans leave it for a while, it's just right.
also when concealment is of the utmost importance, I just go with the keltec belt clip. It truly disappears IWB, but slows down the draw a bit. Still way faster then my pocket.

I have a P11 9mm 10+1 It is snappy and the trigger takes a few rounds to get use to but i can rapid fire all 11 rounds into a paper plate at 10 yards which is around the maximum range you will probably have to defend from in most situations,I carry in a high noon split decision IWB when I'm not carrying my 45

My P-3AT has been a friend for almost 5 years...never a problem...has always gone 'bang'...no fun at the range.
I carry mine in a Fist kydex pocket holster. That pretty much sums it up! ![]()

Love my p3at, carry with an uncle mike's pocket holster or ankle if it's my secondary weapon.
Hope you enjoy yours!

Carry mine in DeSantis pocket holster. Works fine in jeans if you get "relaxed cut".

When I carry my P3AT it either rides behind my wallet or in a Nemesis holster in a pocket.
I dislike much about the design but it serves a purpose. |
