BG seeing me naked and reaching for a towel might be fooled into assuming my motive was modesty.
Way to go!!!! Mind you if a BG made it in at all that is prob' #1 eh!

True tho - I also do your trick - it keeps gun out of sight and certainly, grabbing a towel is a pretty inoccuous move.

If tho it was a hitman we'd still be SOL!

Thanks. Yes the range of possibilities between "never attacked; weapon never needed" on one end and "shot in the back by sniper from 200 meters" on the other end contains an infinite number of scenarios.

One we have ruled out is "killed in shower because we couldn't get our hand on a pistol".

Only a zillion others to work on.

I've got a 12 gauge with a 18.5" barrel in the bathroom hanging on a hook. It's a cheapie I cut down from excess stock at the shop.

It'll work admirably should anything be required and I don't think about it.

The inside and out are coated in the CLP "Protector" stuff and I haven't had a lick of rust in the four years it's been there. I re-do the application once a year.

The Mossberg Mariner or Remington Marine work in the bathroom as well as the boat. Taurus total titanium revolvers are pretty corrosion resistant. If you think about it, a little ambient humidity for a short period of time isn't as moisture abusive as all day IWB carry. If we stash loaded guns all over the house, and sonner or later a child enters the house, we face negligent storage issues. If we keep our primary or backup within arms reach 24/7, we should be good to go. The problem is the "splish, splash, I was taking a bath" or the swoosh noise of the shower, not to mention your Pavarotti imitation. A stealthy intruder may have a brief advantage, but there are many more probable dangers we face than the bath for which we have to prepare.

A few years back I remember reasing an article about a little old lady who ran to the bathroom when a prouler broke into her house. when the prouler came after her in the bathroom she cleaned his clock with the 357 mag. she kept hidden with the cleaners under the sink.

My gun is with me all the time while in the house. Paranoid perhaps but I have lived under a death threat for the past 20 years from one of my brothers, I don't relish giving him a chance if he should show up.
