This is exactly why I don't worry about what guns/knives/web gear/toothpaste the SEALs use. It's a special forces unit, they'll use bricks and mud if they have to.

"Choosing" to use a certain weapon and "Finding" a brick or stick is very different.

Had the chance to talk with my cousin last year. He's one of the SF guys and carries a 9mm Glock ... go figure.

And even more have been taken with clubs and sticks.

Your point?

Not only did rfurtkamp drink the kool-aid, he is also a brewer and distributer of this eveil mind altering liquid.

Seems like we always butt heads for some reason.

I doubt they "choose" much of anything though. They'll use whatever the situation demands. I'd be willing to bet they've used anything and everything at some point, including the enemy's weapons.

Okay, I went to a gun shop/range today and tried out several pistols: CZ 75 in 9mm, Gock (one of the tiny ones) in .40, and a Springfield X (something) in .40. Later the sales guy let me handle his own Sig 229 in .40. The Sig felt the best of the four guns and I really liked the double action trigger pull. So...I'll probably be shopping for a Sig 229 with DAC trigger and their SAS model cuz it is so darned pretty (and the wife might even deign to shoot it).

Y'all have been real helpful on this forum and I appreciate the opportunity to read along...

Larry
