I have a SW Model 65 .357 (old police trade in in great shape!) that I have thought about using a bellyband to carry. I would probably carry it with the gun on my left side and crossdraw. Haven't done it yet though.

My "always" gun is te "beast", my Smith 340SC. The last two trips to the range, I didn't even bother to take a pistol. I took three revolvers. My right wrist and shoulder are acting up and the recoil of the autos really hurt.

Instead of getting old, just raise the "divil" and die young.

I'am glad i'am not the only one that
still carries a revolver. My daily is
a 3" S&W 65-3 loaded with Federal
classic 125gr 357's.It's carried in
a Desantis pancake holster,hides very
well.My BUG is a S&W 642-2 loaded
Black hills 125gr +P's,these use the
Speer gold dot bullet.

I also carry my 3" 45 colt 625-7 in a
Dillions pancake holster,i only carry
it when i feel like putting up with
the weight. It gets pretty heavy with 6
250gr gold dots along for the ride.

I also have a S&W 60-7 Ladysmith in 38
special and a 3" S&W 10-7 that's has
import markings (C.A.I.) that i'll get
around to carrying someday.

I have tried to carry several autos and have not found one that is comfortable for me. My carry gun of choice is a S&W M38 Bodyguard.

Used to carry a beautiful Colt Detective Special 2nd gen Nickle plated. Now my daughter carries that gun. I carry a Sig p239 in 40 S&W on occasion but primarily carry my S&W642 in a Galco Belly Band. This combination disappears under a dress shirt. My wife carries a S&W 637. We both use Speer GDHP 135 gr 38 SPCL designed for snubby wheel guns.

Either a 640 or 649(38 not 357) for me. Never both at the same time

Which gun, Bud? I am guessing it will be in .45 ACP?

Ammo sidebar to this thread...

I just test fired the new Speer Gold Dot short barrel ammo, .357 mag, 135 gr, GDHP.

This is the ammo made for short barrelled .357s.

I ran it through my 3" S&W 66 and my 3 1/2" S&W 27.

I shot it at my steel in the pasture at 15 yds. It was dead on in both guns and rocked my plate hard.

This is my new wheelgun carry load.

Very Impressive stuff.
