You know, I have to say that I've been carrying my 226 for a while, and I just don't like it as much as my Speed Six. If I ever can find a good holdter for the Ruger, I'll probably switch back.

Yep. I carry a S&W 19-3 2 inch, and I'm picking up a 3 inch 66 tomorrow. I also have a model 37 and a 1.5 inch model 10.

I see no reason to break myself of the habit of always having a small revolver nearby. Currently use a S&W 340PD as either primary or backup gun. Have a selection of autos with greater capacity and higher caliber, but don't underestimate the value of a good wheelgun.

Ridge Runner - I do upon the seldom occasion carry a Custom "Bobbed" DA/ SA S&W Model 37 Airweight. And always carry a "Shorty" NAA Mini Mag in a pocket holster when my wife & I walk the parks in the evening time here abouts. This loaded w/ 2 rnds. of Magnum"Snake-shot" (Pronouced "Faceshot"..) then 3 rnds. Magnum HP. But to completely answer your question; I too carry an auto loader of one sort or another most often.

If i were to carry a wheel gun again i think i would get the Thunder-Ranch Special , or possibly a Taurus snubby in .44sp or .45 Colt. Those Thunder-Ranch Specials are rather pricey, but i am a sucker for the older stlye N-frame S&W revolvers. OR maybe find a older N-frame model in .357 and send it off to Hamilton Bowen for a conversion to .44sp or .45 Colt.

Depending on how hot it is and what I'm wearing I sometimes carry a 3" S&W Mod 13 or the Colt Cobra.
