Taurus 905

Anybody have any opinions, either good or bad?

Not a big fan of the 9mm, but a friend of mine is thinking about getting one. I would want a longer grip, though. Does Pachmayer make a grip which extends below like the one for the Colt D-frame? The D-frame grip is still small enough to conceal nicely, but I forget which Pachmayer series it is.

Any grip that fits a Small Frame Taurus will fit a 905

(S&W J frame grips DO NOT FIT ON Tauruses)

Several companies make longer "combat" grips - I would look at
the Hogue offerings.

Does your friend shoot a lot of 9MM ?

(I prefer .357/.38 in my Taurus 651 )

I'd love to get one of these guns.....especially the "smaller than J Frame" 905IB (Instant Backup).

I've heard that the Stellar clips are somewhat flimsy and prone to losing rounds when they are loose.

Yes, the reason he is thinking of the 905 is so he won't have another caliber to reload.
