Asking how tight do I wear my gun belt is like asking how do I adjust my seat in my car for my body? Hope that makes sense...but the answer is very much up to you. We are all built different..it depends on the belt, gun and holster you have. Experiment and see what works for you.

Hope that helps..but there really is no right answer. Shoot well and god bless

What he said...

Personally, I find that I cinch up my belt tighter if I'm wearing an OWB holster vs IWB. It's still not super tight, but definitely snug+ I would say. When carrying IWB, it's definitety not as snug, but it's not so loose that it's flopping around, either.

It's kind of like finger tight vs tightening it another 1/4-1/2 a turn or so, if that makes sense. But that's me, it's definitely a subjective thing.

I picked me up a pair of those Perry suspenders yesterday, and I gotta tall ya! That's the way to go! I wear OWB - can't stand IWB, I wear an Uncle Mike's 1.5" instructor belt, a black modified Galco FLETCH with Glock 23 and a Galco M.F.P. mag/flashlight combo paddle with Glock 22 mag and SureFire G2. The suspenders hold it all up wonderfully. I will be buying either a Looper kydex lined belt or a beltman double steerhide belt very soon!

Which is better? The kydex lined or the double steerhide?

Well in my not so humble *cough* opinion...belts with inserts have a place. Example.. if you are carrying 2 1911's and can only wear a 1" wide belt..then inserts have there purpose.
A std. 1 1/2" gun belt is plenty good for carrying most anything you want to and be comfortable in the process.
Even Jim the Beltman has told me that.......

Shoot well and god bless

I wear a IWB concealco holster on a Ross gun belt. I wear the belt snug enough for the gun and holster doesn't really move but firm. I also wear WWW.perrysuspenders.com The contractors style they support more weight on the belt for everything else. Jeff.

I wear an OWB & use the same notch in the belt with or without the holster, which means it's a little snugger with the holster.
