Guess what the mail man brought me today...

My new Cochise Defender!!!!
Kevin,
I haven't talked to you personally, but I want to thank you for a fantastic product!
I can't believe the quality and style of this package.
The draw is smooth. The fit is spectacular.
It is so comfortable to wear that I may never use my Kydex rig again!
The one handed re-holster requires a slightly different technique but is easy once practiced.
I made my own belt clips since I ordered and I like them better than the standard clips that I requested from K&D. So I switched them out.
Nuff Said. Check it out!

This my first custom made leather holster.
The fit and draw are so nice that I'm not sure I need to do anything as far as conditioning before use.
I see most everyone talks about holstering with wax paper overnight. Is this to facilitate draw or to treat the inside of the holster? Should I still do this?
Thanks for any advice

luvmy40, I know just how you are feeling. I LOVE my Cochise Defender. It is a great piece of workmanship! I honestly like it more every time I wear it. Yours looks very nice indeed.
I have done nothing with my holster except strap it on and use it. It was formed to my M&P c so well, nothing else was needed.
If you ever get a chance to speak with Kevin, take it. He is a great guy to talk with. He really cares for his work AND his customers!!

Ron

Very nice! That's quite a large mag carrier you have there, or can you tuck that large flap into your pants? Who makes it, BTW?

Why do you mags face different directions? It's best to always have them presented the same way so, you don't have to look at them for a quick mag change.

I made the mag carrier myself. It was my first design and not well thought out. However I have been using it long enough that I don't have a problem with orienting the mags.
The large paddle can be put inside the pants, but I am considering trimming it down substantially.
It is surprisingly comfortable to wear despite it's size.

Thats a cool mag carrier, and if it works for you, cool. That tab looks like it stabalizes that pretty good, and keep it tucked in. Good job.
