And now his final response......

Sir,

I reserve the right to cancel anyone's order at any time for no other
reason than they are rude/obnoxious. As such, I have cancelled your order
and a refund check will be on it's way to you next week.

We have cheerfully written several hundred refund checks this year due to
my health problems, and we certainly do not mind another. However I will
not tolerate a customer who is rude, threatens me or tries to intimidate
me. Are we clear?

I cannot see where I was rude nor threatening. I simply wanted what I paid for. Please tell me what is wrong with this picture. Also, Is there any thing that can be done legally to prosecute this thief?

I received a refund for my holster and mag holder that I requested today. I called and spoke to Remy on March 25th and cancelled my order. She said 7 - 10 days, the check arrived just at 3 weeks later.

I'm done.

Received a refund from Brommeland. I will not ever support Bromeland , Coal Creek or anyplace where these 2 advertise.

Live and learn , I guess?

Thanks.

Mernickle Gunleather

I would like to add my current experience on my order of two holsters, two mag pouches and a belt. They are for my P230 and P239.

On February 19, 2008, I placed an order for a holster, mag pouch and belt and was advised four weeks. The follwing day, I added a second holster and mag pouch. I questioned if there would be a delay to my original order. I was assured no problem.

As I was reading this site and problems with delivery of ordered items, I decided to check on the status. On March 12th, I sent an e-mail. I received a response that it is now five weeks. On March 24 th, I e-mailed again and the answer was by the end of the week or next week. As I did not receive my ordered items, on April 3rd, I e-mailed again and was advised in the mail by Wednesday April 9th.

It will be almost 8 weeks in a few days and still nothing. I do not want to keep shooting off e-mails but accurate dates need to be given when placing orders. Things happen and customers need to be contacted about delays, which seems to be lacking from holster makers. My waiting has not been as long as some of you but wanted to let you know.

I will awaiting my order as both these guns need a home. My previous holster for my Kimber Ultra came in a timely manner. I will update when these arrive. Hopefully soon.

My Mernickle

I ordered a holster and belt from Mernickle at the beginning of February. I was told on the phone that my order would be done in 4-5 weeks, which to me seems fair considering the outrageous amounts of time people will wait for custom leather.

At week 5, I called and was told I would have my rig by the next Friday. Two weeks went by and called again. Was told it was a custom holster and it had to be handmade, right...

Called 2 weeks later and was then told it was being made and I would have it by the next Friday. The next wednesday came and when I got home from work, my gear was waiting for me.

BTW, I looked at his web-site and delivery time listed is 8-10 weeks. Which means my gear was right on time and was probably mis-informed by the person taking my order.

The rig looks nice, the belt seems to be about bulletproof. The holster is niiiiiiiiice, but will probably be reserved for IDPA and winter use since concealment will be a challenge.

Gthomas, the wait was worth it and I am sure you will agree when your gear arrives. After exhaustive research, I chose Mernickle because of his reputation coming from his peers.

Needless to say, my first and my last custom rig. My next will be a Crossbreed Supertuck.

Thats my story.

Update on my Mernickle Order.

After several communications- the two holsters, mag holder for each gun and the belt arrived. Instead of 4 weeks it ended up being 8 weeks. All items are great and of the highest quality.

Red face Got my Max Con V

I've waited over 20 months for my Max Con V. I finally had enough.
I called Coal Creek last Wed. and they had a LH Max Con V for a 1911 4 1/4 in barrel. I received the holster today. It is beautiful. It had become a quest to see if I would ever get one. I did pay more for it than original order, but it's my first and last Brommeland holster. Now I'm waiting for my S&W 1911PD that I sent to be bobtailed and other work. That's been 8 months and suppost to be done next month. I'm looking forward to the end of this match up.

Now I'm working with credit card company for return of my money.
I would call Brommeland but they have never called me or kept me informed on my order.

Refunds, although maybe not as fast as some would like, have not seemed to be a problem.

After reading some of the horror stories on this thread I have to consider myself lucky. I ordered a pancake holster from Beretta for my Px4 in the beginning of March 08 (5th or 6th). They promised me it would ship no later than the end of March because they are expecting a large shipment of these for the Px4. I called them on April 4th because their site still said my order is still back ordered. The guy I spoke to on that day said they have no idea when they're coming in. So, how long do I have to wait? He had no idea. My reply: "Cancel my order, please." He said, "Canceled, have a nice day". I don't know what makes these people think they can make us wait and wait and wait for a product when they promise it on a certain date. Our only recourse is to cancel the order when it doesn't arrive as promised the first time. If enough people do that, the manufacturers will start to get the message when they can't cover their own overhead.

On April 2nd I ordered a Safariland 6377. They told me it would take at most three weeks to ship but more than likely it will be sooner. I called them on April 23rd to get the status of my order and they said it was scheduled to ship on the 24th, Thursday. I asked if they could email me the tracking number so I won't have to bother them again and their CSR, Maree Meza, told me she would. Sho nuf, when I woke p on Friday morning at 10:30 AM there was an email from her with the tracking number. It's a shame all companies can't be this efficient. My holster is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, the 29th via FedEx. I can't wait!

UnderCoverComfort

I ordered an undercovercomfort holster, 2XHVneck in February. After reading all these posts I realize that I have not been waiting very long. But, my question is, are they even still in business? I not received any feedback from them whatsoever - not even an email confirming my order. I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time, but I'd at least like to know that the order went through. I gave them my credit card info but they haven't charged it yet.

They will not respond to any of my emails, so I don't know if I should just forget it and find another holster to buy, or if I should just wait.

Does anyone have any previous experience purchasing from this company?

Thanks
