I have a Canute for my 1911 plus a mag carrier and belt from Nate. He is a class act and makes quality stuff. You won't be sorry dealing with Nate. I prefer the belt loops to the metal clips.

Do you notice any difference in comfort between the shorter barrel & longer barrel handguns? My Glock 26 (in a Canute) kinda jabs me in the hip & I find that I have to wear it a little further back than I would normally like to.

I'm not sure if it's because of the open bottom or standard (25 degree) cant. I'm wondering if a longer barrel gun would prevent this?

Yeah, with the P7, as mentioned HERE, I have to wear it just behind the point of the hip, it doesn't bother me as that's where I usually carry, 3 o'clock is not happening with that P7.

Ok, the canutes seem to have it. Now, how about the reinforced mouthband, is that something you guys had added or not? Any opinions on it?

I prefer it, just because if I do choose to use the IWB for a class which requires lots of drawing/reholstering, I can do it easily one handed.

If you don't plan on using the holster for a class, I wouldn't worry about it.

I have the reinforced mouth on my BHP holster, but not on my P7 holster, I feel it doesn't add enough mass to make it harder to conceal. I can still re-holster the P7 one handed as Nate's rigs are pretty stiff when new, only time will tell if the reinforced opening is needed.

Ok, bit the bullet and ordered the Canute, along with belt and Mag carrier, now the waiting begins.

Ken L. Null

buckeyeLCPL, I can think of no finer IWB holster for a large pistol than Ken L. Null's UNS or his version of the Vern Humphrey (see below). Ken produces a quality product in record time. He isn't cheap but you will love holsters. Regards, Richard
